Estates Technician Location: Norwich Salary: £25000 Contract: Permanent About the Role This is an opportunity for a recent graduate or junior property professional to develop practical experience in estate surveying and valuation. You'll support the estates team with day-to-day property matters, assisting with inspections, property research, records and valuation-related activities. The role offers exposure to different aspects of estate management and would suit someone keen to build a career in surveying. Applications are welcome from real estate graduates, candidates studying towards a surveying qualification, and those with early experience in a council, local authority or property consultancy. Key Responsibilities Support the team with day-to-day estate management activities. Assist with property inspections and site visits. Gather property and market information to support valuation work. Help prepare reports, correspondence and property documentation. Maintain accurate property, lease and occupier records. Assist with tenant and stakeholder enquiries. Support research relating to lettings, rent reviews and lease renewals. Help coordinate information for ongoing property matters. Provide administrative support across the estates team. About You A relevant degree, such as Real Estate or Estate Management, or early experience in estate surveying or valuation. A strong interest in developing a career in property and surveying. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and an organised approach. Comfortable working with figures, researching information and maintaining records. Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems. Willingness to learn and contribute to a team. Able to commute to the Norwich office. Desirable Experience Previous work experience or a placement within a property team. Exposure to estate management or valuation activities. Experience within a council or local authority. Currently studying towards a relevant surveying qualification or working towards chartership. Basic understanding of leases and landlord and tenant matters.
