The Opportunity
We’re currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major construction project in Groningen, Netherlands. With a strong electrical bias, you’ll bring technical leadership, hands-on site management, and collaborative coordination to ensure the electrical package is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the electrical scope of a large-scale construction project from site mobilization through to commissioning and handover.
- Be a visible leader on-site, ensuring health and safety compliance and best practices are followed.
- Oversee daily site activity and coordinate with the client, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow and information sharing.
- Drive progress reporting, identify and resolve issues proactively, and support timely project delivery.
- Coordinate snagging activities, handover documentation, and stakeholder expectations.
- Review and manage project changes, variations, and delays in collaboration with the commercial and planning teams.
- Implement project procedures, promoting consistency and excellence in site operations.
- Participate in key meetings, actively contribute to decision-making, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in managing electrical elements of construction delivery on complex, high-value projects.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Project management certification (APM, PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems within data centre or industrial environments.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Detail-focused, quality-driven, and committed to delivering safely and sustainably.
- Fluent English required; Dutch language skills are a plus.
- Valid EU work eligibility or visa to work in the Netherlands.
