Shopping Centre Manager Edinburgh £60,000 per annumJoshua Robert is working with an established property management organisation to appoint a Centre Manager for a prominent retail and leisure destination in Edinburgh.This is a senior, highly visible role with overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the centre. Acting as the principal onsite point of contact, you will work closely with occupiers, contractors, property and asset management teams and other key stakeholders to ensure the destination is safe, compliant, commercially effective and consistently well managed.The role combines facilities management, contractor leadership, occupier engagement and customer experience, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager or an Operations / Facilities Manager looking to take the next step.The RoleYou will take responsibility for the effective operation of the centre, including:Leading the day-to-day management and operational performance of the siteActing as the primary point of contact for occupiers and key stakeholdersOverseeing both hard and soft FM servicesManaging and monitoring cleaning, security, maintenance and other specialist contractorsEnsuring contractors perform against agreed service levels and KPIsMaintaining high standards of health, safety, compliance and statutory documentationOverseeing planned and reactive maintenance activitySupporting occupier fit-outs, landlord works and operational projectsManaging incidents, operational issues and emergency proceduresSupporting service charge and operational budget managementProviding regular reporting to property and asset management stakeholdersWorking closely with retailers, leisure operators and other occupiers to maintain a positive trading environmentIdentifying opportunities to continually improve the customer and occupier experienceAbout YouWe are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within a shopping centre, retail destination, mixed-use development, leisure environment or similarly complex public-facing property.You may currently be working as a:Centre ManagerShopping Centre ManagerDeputy Centre ManagerOperations ManagerFacilities ManagerFacilities Operations ManagerYou will ideally bring:Strong experience managing hard and soft FM servicesProven contractor and supplier management experienceExcellent occupier, client and stakeholder management skillsA good understanding of health & safety and statutory complianceExperience working within a busy, customer-facing property environmentConfidence managing competing operational prioritiesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsA commercially minded and proactive approach to property operationsExperience within retail, shopping centres or mixed-use destinations would be particularly advantageous.The OpportunityThis is an opportunity to take a leading role within a high-profile, busy retail and leisure environment, working with a broad range of occupiers and stakeholders and taking genuine ownership of the centre's operational performance.Salary: £60,000 per annumINDS
