We are currently recruiting for 6 Highways Operatives Grade 6 to join a busy operational team in Durham on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in highways, grounds maintenance, construction, or general industrial work who enjoy working outdoors and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out highways maintenance and environmental works across the Borough.
- Support safe and effective delivery of operational services.
- Undertake manual duties associated with highways and general industrial work.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to deliver frontline services efficiently.
- Identify and report hazards or issues requiring attention.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within highways, construction, grounds maintenance, or similar operational environments is desirable.
