We are working with a growing independent property consultancy with an established and expanding presence across the Midlands, looking to appoint a Director to lead and help grow its Commercial Property Management team. This is a key strategic hire for the business, driven by succession planning and continued growth, with the team having recently secured several new instructions and looking to build further momentum across the region.

The role offers the opportunity to take a senior leadership position within the business, overseeing a diverse commercial property portfolio, leading key client relationships, and playing a major role in the future direction and growth of the department.

The Role

In this position, you will take ownership of a significant commercial property management function, managing a varied portfolio across the East Midlands and wider Midlands, while helping shape team strategy and supporting wider business growth. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be given the autonomy to influence operational direction, grow client relationships, and contribute to the long-term success of the business.

  • Leading the management of a diverse commercial property portfolio across the East Midlands, wider Midlands, and selected national instructions
  • Taking ownership of key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and senior point of contact
  • Overseeing core property management delivery including service charge management, rent collection, lease events, and asset performance
  • Driving business development activity and identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and win new instructions
  • Supporting and mentoring team members, helping develop capability and strengthen the wider department
  • Working closely with leadership to shape the future strategy and growth of the Property Management team
  • Driving operational excellence and ensuring consistently high service delivery across the portfolio

About You

  • Strong commercial property management experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Currently operating at Director or Associate Director level, ready to take on broader leadership responsibility
  • Strong track record managing key clients and complex commercial property portfolios
  • Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, and motivated by growth
  • Experienced in business development and relationship-led work winning
  • MRICS preferred but not essential – strong market reputation and relevant experience equally valued
