We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Site Manager to take full ownership of a residential apartment block development in Cheltenham. This is a substantial, long-term contract offering 18 months of secure work on a high-quality residential scheme.
The Role
- Manage the day-to-day running of a block of apartments from current stage through to practical completion, reporting directly to an on-site Project Manager.
- This is a hands-on role for a confident, self-sufficient Site Manager who takes pride in delivering a quality product and running a tight, safe site.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full site ownership of a residential apartment block through to completion.
- Report to and work closely with the on-site Project Manager.
- Manage subcontractors, trades and deliveries to maintain programme.
- Ensure the site operates in full compliance with health & safety legislation at all times.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout all stages of the build.
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress reporting and client-facing meetings as required.
- Coordinate snagging and defect resolution in the lead-up to handover.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing residential apartment or flatted development schemes.
- Ability to take ownership of a project and drive it through to completion.
- SMSTS (valid).
- First Aid at Work (valid).
- CSCS card (black card preferred).
- Strong subcontractor management and programme awareness.
