Joshua Robert is working with an award-winning interior design and build company based in Birmingham. They are currently working on a refurbishment on a Traditional pub in Northampton. They are looking for an experienced Carpenter to assist them on the project temporarily until Christmas and maybe beyond. About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Second Fix Carpenter to contribute to a pub refurbishment project. Key Responsibilities: Door and Window Installations: Hang doors and fit handles, locks, hinges, and other hardware. Install architraves and finish window surrounds to a high standard. Interior Trim and Detailing: Fit and install skirting boards, dado rails, and decorative moldings. Apply detailed finishing touches to enhance the studio’s appearance Custom Fit-Outs: Build and install custom storage units, shelving, and furniture to support the studio’s needs. Fit wall panels, mirrors, and other studio-specific features. Other Tasks: Create neat boxing to conceal pipework and cabling. Install fixtures such as hooks, brackets, and other fittings required for studio operations. Requirements: Proven experience as a Second Fix Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Familiarity with woodworking tools and techniques, with the ability to deliver precise and detailed work. Understanding of safe flooring installations for activity-based spaces like dance studios. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers. Flexibility and adaptability to meet project-specific requirements. Desirable Skills and Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent). Experience with custom-built storage solutions and bespoke carpentry. Knowledge of health and safety standards specific to public spaces. Experience working on creative or performance spaces such as studios, theatres, or similar venues. Hours/days: 8-12 hours per day Monday to Friday Must have: CSCS Card Own Tools PPE
