Junior Quantity Surveyor | Commercial Fit-Out | Birmingham Want to start your QS career pricing real projects, not just photocopying drawings? This is a rare chance to join a design-led business and get stuck in from day one. Our client is a fast-growing Birmingham team behind some of the city's best-loved restaurants, bars, workplaces and heritage buildings. They're looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support the pricing of fit-out and refurbishment works up to £500k, working alongside the Project Managers and the in-house design team. You'll see projects from first drawing to final account, and you'll learn from a team that cares about commercial detail as much as great design. What you'll be doing: Supporting the pricing of tenders and quotes for projects up to £500k Taking off quantities from drawings and specifications Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotes and building up tender returns Working with the PMs and designers to understand scope and flag risks early Helping to track costs, variations and valuations once projects are live Learning how the commercial side runs, from budgets to final accounts What you'll bring: Some experience in a QS, estimating or commercial support role, ideally in fit-out or interiors Or a construction-related degree or HNC/HND and a real drive to build a career in QS Comfortable with Excel and measuring from drawings A sharp eye for detail and good numeracy A proactive, organised approach and the confidence to ask questions Commutable to Birmingham What's on offer: Hands-on pricing experience on high-profile Birmingham projects Proper mentoring from an experienced team A clear route to progress as the business grows [Salary and benefits to be confirmed] If you want to build your QS career with a business that's going places, let's talk.
