ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Ready to take on a project with real history and significance? Join a leading independent construction and property consultancy and play a key role in the delivery of a Grade I listed building conversion for education purposes. As a Associate Director, you’ll be involved in a high-profile commercial and heritage project currently approaching the end of Stage 4, making proven experience in managing construction projects essential. You’ll work closely with the client, consultants and contractors to ensure the project is delivered successfully, while taking real ownership of project management activities within a highly respected consultancy. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead project management activities on a Grade I listed building conversion for education
  • Manage the project through construction and ensure successful project outcomes
  • Work closely with the client, consultants and contractors
  • Manage programme, project controls, risks, quality and resources
  • Lead design management, procurement and construction activities
  • Support Employer’s Agent and Contract Administration activities
  • Manage project documentation, reporting and governance
  • Build strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • Work closely with Cost Managers to achieve strong commercial outcomes
  • Support junior team members and contribute to wider business initiatives

WHAT OUR CLIENT LOOKING FOR

  • Experienced Senior Project Manager or Associate Director
  • Proven experience managing construction projects
  • Experience with commercial and heritage projects strongly desirable
  • Experience working with listed buildings / complex refurbishment or conversion projects advantageous
  • Experience delivering projects through construction and later project stages
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage project workstreams
  • MRICS preferred, but not essential
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
