Joshua Robert is partnering with well known real estate company to appoint a Client Accountant. This is a key role for an experienced accountant to join a well-established property and infrastructure business.
We are looking for a Client Accountant to manage the financial reporting and accounting needs of a portfolio of client entities across the group. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant with a strong background in property or infrastructure finance, who is comfortable working across multiple client accounts and reporting lines.
Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) experience is essential for this role, given the nature of the group's project and contractor activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of client entities, including bank reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
- Prepare management accounts, client reporting packs, and periodic financial statements
- Process and reconcile Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) deductions, ensuring accurate subcontractor verification, monthly returns, and HMRC compliance
- Liaise with property managers, asset managers, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the client portfolio
- Assist with year-end processes and liaise with external auditors as required
- Maintain accurate ledgers and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Client Accountant, Property Accountant, or similar role within property, real estate, or infrastructure
- Essential: hands-on experience with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), including verification, deductions, and monthly returns
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Strong working knowledge of property/client accounting software (e.g. Yardi, MRI, Qube, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with both internal teams and external clients
