  • Overview

TT is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its Projects Team, working closely with Senior Project Managers to support planning, disposals, demolition, due diligence and development activity across the Development & Disposals function.

This is a newly created role to support the effective delivery of a large business-critical project.

The successful candidate will be RICS qualified, recently qualified, working towards or committed to APC.

They will have a developing track record in residential development project support, and will work directly under Senior Project Managers as they build experience and ownership.

Full support and guidance will be provided throughout.

They will support the technical and construction aspects of live schemes, from tendering technical surveys through to assisting with budgets, consultants and contracts, while supporting the wider team on planning, disposals and development activity nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers on delivery of all technical and construction aspects of planning, disposals and development, with particular focus on key clients
  • Assist with the preparation and management of consultant appointments and construction contracts, in conjunction with the Commercial Manager
  • Tender technical surveys and reports required throughout project delivery (e. g. geotechnical, acoustic, thermal), with the technical knowledge to interpret them
  • Support project teams and individuals throughout delivery, assisting and advising on programming, progress, cost, risk, change management and reporting
  • Assist with the management of project budgets, in conjunction with Senior Project Managers and Commercial Manager
  • Assist the Senior Project Managers and Commercial Manager to ensure all collateral warranties and insurances are in place for each appointment and contract
  • Assist the commercial team with commercial activities across planning, disposals and development projects
  • Support the wider team in the disposal of commercial and residential property assets from portfolios nationwide
  • Working with Others
  • Work closely with the Senior Project Managers and Commercial Manager on consultant appointments, construction contracts and project budgets
  • Collaborate with the wider Projects Team across live schemes
  • Support the Disposals team with due diligence across planning disposals and development activity
  • Liaise with external consultants, contractors, surveyors and solicitors throughout project delivery
  • Build positive professional relationships across the business
  • Reporting
  • Provide accurate programme, cost, risk and progress reporting throughout project delivery
  • Contribute to accurate record-keeping and data maintenance for all live projects
  • Report to the Senior Project Managers, within the Projects Team led by the Projects Director and Head of Development
  • Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced professional with

  • RICS qualified, recently qualified, working towards or committed to APC
  • Residential new build and refurbishment experience, with a track record supporting the management of projects, particularly residential
  • A good understanding of technical construction standards and detailing
  • A good understanding of consultant and contractor agreements, e. g. JCT
  • Contractor or consultancy experience considered on equal merit
  • A proactive and analytical mindset, with a keen interest in development and disposal projects
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills, for effective collaboration with consultants and stakeholders
  • Strong IT skills
  • Willingness to travel to sites nationwide, as required
  • Full driving licence
