The opportunity
A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is expanding its Infrastructure Services division and is looking for a Senior Associate to join a team delivering some of the most significant projects in the UK today.
The division works on behalf of clients across electricity, gas, water, fibre optics, oil and renewables — including several of the largest NSIPs (Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects) currently in the pipeline. This is genuine, front‑line work on the schemes that will shape UK infrastructure for decades.
The role is varied: project managing from routing through construction to completion, handling new acquisitions and rights, and providing consultancy services around benchmarking, procedures and management systems. The team is open to candidates from a broad range of surveying backgrounds.
What you'll be doing
- Advising on and managing infrastructure projects from local to national scale, including major NSIPs
- Providing land consultancy advice across work types — maintenance of existing apparatus through to installation of new equipment
- Advising clients on all aspects of their interactions with landowners and providing professional support
- Land referencing, preparation and service of statutory notices, negotiation of compensation, and acquisition of new rights and easements to facilitate delivery
- Liaising with landowners and handling public enquiries
- Reporting directly to clients on project progression
- Supporting wider projects across the business
- Training and mentoring graduates within the team
What they're looking for
- MRICS or AssocRICS qualified (preferred)
- Strong project management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the confidence to communicate and negotiate at all levels
- Proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships, network and promote the business
- Excellent people skills with the ability to influence decisions
- Ability to self-manage and consistently meet deadlines
- Outstanding prioritisation, organisation and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication
