We’re looking for a YouTube-native Content Director to help shape and package high-performing long-form videos in the adventure / history niche.
This role is for someone who understands what makes videos go viral on YouTube — not just when it comes to the video itself, but also how it is packaged for posting on the platform.
- Exploring remote, hard-to-reach locations
- Documenting sites that have rarely (or never) been filmed before
- Creating content designed to perform at the highest level on YouTube
You will be responsible for shaping and delivering viral, high quality YouTube videos from idea through edit to final packaging.
- Edit Direction & Feedback
- Suggest re-edits, cuts, and restructuring where needed
- Craft a story for the video that will maximise watch time and retention as well as provide a valuable viewing experience for the viewer
- Generate new viral video ideas matching the channel’s niche
- Help maximise value from planned productions

- Proven track record of working on high-performing / viral YouTube videos

Deep Understanding of YouTube Performance

- Structuring videos for maximum audience retention
End-to-End YouTube Thinking
- From idea → to video structure → to final packaging
- Shape those ideas into high-performing video concepts
- Structure edits for retention and engagement
- Package videos (title + thumbnail) to maximise clicks
Ideally has worked professionally within the YouTube content space
