Summary and purpose of role:

The Supervisor role within JOSEPH, Fulham Road, is an integral part of the store management team, supporting with the daily store operations.

As a Store Supervisor, you will assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager by setting a high standard for customer service and merchandise presentation. You will also display strong commercial insight while stepping in for the Store Manager and Assistant Manager when necessary.

Additionally, you will embody the Company\’s values and objectives, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

This will include but is not limited to:

Sales Generation

  • Actively drive sales and profitability
  • Contribute to developing effective clienteling strategies that boost sales.
  • Drive motivation and engagement within the team
  • Gain commercial insights by shadowing the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, while actively contributing sales initiative ideas and analysing commercial data

Customer Service

  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the brand, product and customer.
  • Resolve any customer concerns and/or queries quickly and effectively.
  • Drive best practice for customer service amongst team.

Store Operations

  • Exhibit strong administrative and organisational skills in store operations.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Show effective coaching and leadership abilities, actively participating in training courses when relevant.
  • Address staff welfare concerns and work-related issues by escalating them as needed.
  • Support the management of shrinkage and stock loss, collaborating with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to develop effective initiatives.
  • Always safeguard company assets, proactively driving improvements to processes when potential risks are identified.
  • Oversee the execution of store layouts, window displays, pricing/promotions, and product presentation.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Experience as a Supervisor or Senior Sales Assistant in a luxury or premium retail brand.
  • Ability to deputise for Management when needed.
  • Understanding of corporate stakeholders and store strategies, including competitor analysis and consumer behaviour.
  • Sales-driven with a history of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Proficient in POS and store systems, with strong computer skills.
  • Commercially aware, proactive in proposing solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures, with experience in escalating issues as needed.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a luxury environment.
  • Capable of identifying training needs and delivering training when required.
  • Self-motivated team player, able to inspire and support management and colleagues.
  • Adaptable to change and high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively across various channels.
  • Strong drive to succeed with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Consistently reliable, with excellent timekeeping and attention to detail.
