Stockroom Assistant
We are looking for talented individuals to join us at our Harvey Nichols London concession store. This is a full‑time, 40 hours per week role.
A Stockroom Assistant is responsible for the flow of merchandise from a central point of delivery in our stockroom to the retail sales floor, ensuring appropriate levels of merchandise are available on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that products are accessible, constantly available, and properly distributed.
- Contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, and managing the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organised manner.
- Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy and verify that the quantity received matches the packing note and delivery paperwork.
- Complete all paperwork associated with stock movements and deliveries.
- Decrease store shrinkage by investigating inventory discrepancies and reporting suspicious activities to the store management team.
- Work closely with the distribution team to support stock movement and reduce stock discrepancies.
- Support the store management team with the control of stock and processing deliveries, transfers, and stock returns.
- Organise the stockroom, and ensure accurate labelling, logical placement, neat arrangement, and cleanliness.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience in a stockroom position, ideally within a luxury retail environment.
- Excellent communication skills across all communication platforms – e‑mail, instant messenger and telephone.
- Ability to learn product knowledge quickly and always motivated to learn.
- Works well as part of a team and has the ability to be a self‑starter.
- Excellent organisational skill and attention to detail.
