Working with JOSEPH Junior Pattern Cutter to support on the creation and development of patterns within JOSEPH collection across all product categories. Supporting the design and technical development team in creating patterns for new collections, ensuring the designs are accurately translated into high-quality garments.
Work with various fabrics and garment styles, learning and developing your skills in pattern making, garment construction, and 3D prototyping. Assist in the creation and development of patterns for new garment designs using digital pattern cutting software, Lectra Modaris. Support the pattern cutting team in the production of patterns, from initial concept to final fit. Construct digital 3D prototypes from in-house patterns where appropriate. Cut and sew fabric toiles where necessary. Help with alterations and amendments to patterns as required. Work closely with designers to ensure patterns align with the design vision. Participate in fittings and assist in making necessary adjustments to patterns. Prepare patterns for pre-production and assist with the preparation of measurement charts. Digitize, translate and annotate paper patterns as required. Maintain pattern cutting tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition, whilst assisting with the organization of the atelier work room. Contribute to the creation of technical packs, including measurements, instructions and garment specifications. Collaborate with the product development and technical team to ensure timely completion of pattern cutting tasks.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc) and Adobe Illustrator.
- Proficiency in digital pattern drafting and 3D prototyping software (e.g. Lectra, CLO3D) is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency with manual pattern cutting tools and equipment.
