The genuine sense of community and togetherness felt among our staff here is what makes it such a great place to work. Along with assisting residents and helping with day-to-day tasks, you’ll really get to know the people you support and become a familiar face to them and their relatives. This role ensures a safe, effective, caring and well-led service to our residents and their families, at New Lodge.
The role of Care Team Senior is to provide relationship centred leadership and direction to the care team as a shift leader. It is a busy role, and no two days will be the same. About you
You will have substantial experience in care delivery, ideally with older people. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining standards and ensuring that quality, compliance, and safety are prioritised. Above all you must be caring, empathic and possess the people management skills that will allow you to contribute towards leading a team that will provide a first-class person-centred approach to caring for others.
Here are some of the qualities that we look for:
- Naturally motivated by helping other people.
- To be dependable, diligent and reliable.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the adaptability to excel in different situations.
- Good time-management skills.
- The flexibility to keep up with changing standards and codes of conduct.
- A natural listener with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to be decisive and remain calm under pressure.
