Location: Hartfields, Hartlepool

Salary: 13.47 per hour

As a motivated and fully engaged member of the wider Care Services team, the Food Service Assistant is responsible for the efficient and timely service of food to residents & customers in Hartfields Manor, supporting the delivery of an excellent food and customer focussed service whilst adhering to the highest food safety standards.

You’ll assist in the low skilled preparation of food and support with the service of food, delivery of meals and working on the counter serving customers in an organised and timely manner. You’ll get to know the residents’ preferences and ensure that they are always available and keep the pantries stocked. You’ll liaise with both the catering and care management teams to ensure good communication.

You’ll take care to always be helpful and friendly, help clean the tables after service and adopt a ‘clean as you go’ work ethic, and fully stock the small kitchens, take fridge temperatures, clean kitchen fridges and keep kitchens clean and tidy.

Qualifications

  • Relevant customer service experience in a commercial catering operation.
  • Experience of following Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Food Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work positively with residents and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and oral communication skills.
