The Hartfields complex consists of 242 dwellings across 4 blocks for people aged over 55 years. A range of communal facilities, including restaurant and healthy living suite, are available on site for both residents of the community and the wider community.
About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Domestic and Maintenance Assistant who will work as part of the Domestic Team at Hartfields. This role is key to keeping the facilities in the communal areas and the grounds at Hartfields a happy and pleasant environment to be in. You’ll provide a quality cleaning maintenance service relating to the buildings and grounds at Hartfields and carry out planned and reactive cleaning and domestic work. Duties will also include maintaining the grounds across the site, such as sweeping paths and parking areas, clearing snow, litter picking, and cleaning refuse areas. The role involves undertaking touchpoint cleaning in line with current infection control procedures and ensuring the appropriate and timely disposal of refuse, including putting bins out and managing waste within bin rooms. The successful candidate will assist with setting up and clearing down rooms and events and will contribute to void work, working closely with the Housing Officer to ensure tasks are completed to agreed timescales and standards.
About You
You will be part of a small team of domestic staff; providing excellent customer service and ensuring the scheme remains clean and tidy at all times. If you are interested in this position, experience of cleaning and waste management and of working in line with COSHH regulations is essential. Previous experience working in a care environment would be advantageous.
