About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee and enhance the quality and compliance of our care services. The successful candidate will coordinate the annual audit and quality assurance schedule in collaboration with service managers and senior leadership, undertaking pre-audit research, data analysis and audit preparation to identify areas for improvement. You will carry out audits in line with regulatory, contractual, and organisational standards, recording and reporting findings, producing action plans, and monitoring their completion. A key aspect of the role is identifying training needs through audit outcomes and liaising with the Learning and Development team to implement solutions. You will escape non-compliance risks and safeguarding concerns promptly, support managers during regulatory inspections and visits, and contribute to service improvement initiatives. The role includes developing systems to monitor performance, promoting best practice across services, creating and delivering workshops, and providing expert advice to managers on quality assurance processes. You will also ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping, including file audits and reporting to senior leadership, committees and boards, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The role requires promoting strong partnership working across our care services and being flexible to work across locations as needed. Additionally, you will oversee the safe administration of medication, advise on staff training, and conduct thematic reviews of incidents.

About you

Our ideal candidate will hold an NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and possess a strong understanding of key legislation, including the Care Act 2014, CQC standards and regulations, and health and safety requirements within care settings. You will have proven experience in auditing, investigations, and improvement methods, along with practical knowledge of quality assurance systems and the CQC Single Assessment framework. You will have experience working in customer-focused roles, supporting services to maintain compliance and achieve high-quality standards, while demonstrating the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and ensure understanding. Strong analytical skills are required to interpret data, draw conclusions, and produce reports. The role also demands the ability to travel regularly to all care service locations and experience operating in sensitive and confidential environments with input from diverse stakeholders.

JRHT strives to be a housing association that is sustainable and engaging, providing high quality and continuously improving services and decent affordable homes in well managed communities prioritising those in greatest need.
