About the role
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to lead, develop and support the Group’s Payroll Function. You will drive forward continuous improvement, delivering a modern system with technology-enabled processes. Reporting into the People Shared Services Lead, you will deliver services in line with standards agreed with JRHT and JRF and you will be the organisational owner of the HR/Payroll system and data within this, including maintaining and upgrading all HRIS systems. The payroll team provides an end-to-end UK payroll operation to both JRF and JRHT, ensuring organisational and colleague expectations are met, alongside statutory and regulatory compliance responsibilities.
About you

With demonstrable practical awareness of HMRC & payroll legislation and regulations and their implications for practical workplace processes and issues, you will have strong understanding of Payroll & HR systems and the potential they provide to improve and streamline processes to maximise efficiencies and ensure that HR resources can be focused on activities that add value to the group. You will be a confident and skilled communicator with experience of managing and inspiring a team around the delivery of efficient services and a culture of continuous improvement. You will be able to work autonomously, problem solve and demonstrate operational and strategic skills, with strong analytical skills.
