Health and Safety Officer in Liverpool

Are you looking to develop your career in Health and Safety while making a real difference to people's lives? We are looking for a Health and Safety Officer to support the delivery of health and safety across JRHT and help ensure our colleagues, residents and contractors can work and live safely.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines practical health and safety activities with opportunities to influence positive change across the organisation. Working as part of our Compliance & Health and Safety team, you will support the delivery of inspections, audits, risk assessments, investigations and training, helping to ensure we meet our legal responsibilities and continue to build a positive safety culture.

You will work closely with managers and colleagues across JRHT, providing advice, guidance and support on a wide range of health and safety matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and developing their professional knowledge within a supportive and collaborative environment.

As our Health and Safety Officer, you will be enthusiastic about health and safety and committed to helping create safe working and living environments. You will be organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

You will be confident communicating with a wide range of people, able to provide clear advice and guidance, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A positive and collaborative approach will be important, as you'll be working with colleagues across different services to support safe and effective ways of working.

Ideally, you will have experience working within social housing, local government, care services or another regulated environment. You will hold an IOSH qualification as a minimum and be keen to continue developing your professional knowledge and experience within the health and safety profession.

Most importantly, you will be passionate about supporting colleagues, improving standards and helping to create a culture where health and safety is understood, valued and embedded in everything we do.
