The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
6 Months Fixed Term Contract (with the option to extend) Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week). Our operational office is based in New Earswick, York but you will be able to work flexibly with a blend of home working, on site and in JRHT offices as required.
About the role
The Housing Officer works as part of a dispersed team delivering an inclusive mixed tenure (rented, shared ownership and full owners) neighbourhood management service to over 2500 homes of all tenures across the local authority areas of York, Scarborough, Leeds, Ryedale and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The role is central to JRHT’s commitment to achieving the highest professional standards in the delivery of our housing and tenancy management services to all our residents to maintain sustainable tenancies. You will be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships. You will identify and implement positive solutions to all tenancy management and leasehold management enquiries; building and developing strong empowered communities and neighbourhoods. Across your patch you will be responsible for ensuring income and empty homes targets are achieved.
About you
You should be passionate about social housing, people focussed, highly motivated, organised and a skilled and confident communicator. Your experience in developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders will be key to being successful in the role. A good working knowledge of service charges would be an advantage.
