About the role

As a motivated and fully engaged member of the wider Care Services team, the Food Service Assistant is responsible for the efficient and timely service of food and beverages to residents in Bedford Court, supporting the delivery of an excellent food and customer focussed service whilst adhering to the highest food safety standards. You’ll support the preparation of the dining room and the service of quality and nutritious meals for our residents. You’ll get to know the residents’ preferences and ensure that they are always available and keep the pantries stocked. While serving and in other social spaces, you’ll take care to always be helpful and friendly, help clean the tables after service and adopt a ‘clean as you go’ work ethic.

About you

We’d like our Food Service Assistant to have relevant customer service experience in a commercial catering operation and have experience of following Food Safety and Health Safety procedures. Adhering to the highest standards of due diligence, you’ll have working knowledge of Food Safety regulations. You’ll be able to work positively with residents and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and have demonstrable interpersonal and oral communication skills.
