Role: Care Assistant - Days (Domiciliary Care)

Location: New Lodge, New Earswick, York

Hours: Part-time for 28 hours per week on a permanent basis

Salary: £13.87 to £14.53 per hour depending on qualifications

New Lodge is a thriving community in New Earswick that provides care accommodation for people aged 55 and over - a sanctuary for those looking to lead independent lives. The genuine sense of community and togetherness felt among our staff here is what makes it such a great place to work. Along with assisting residents and helping with day-to-day tasks, you’ll really get to know the people you support and become a familiar face to them and their relatives.

Shift Patterns

Shifts are 7.5 hours (including an unpaid 30-minute break). Early shifts start at 7:00am and late shifts at 2:00pm.

Part-time roles are usually 4 shifts a week (28 hours in total).

Essential Requirements

  • Right to Work – sponsorship is not available for these roles, you must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • DBS – these roles will be subject to a successful DBS check that covers regulated activity
  • Care experience – at least 6 months experience providing personal care and support in a paid or voluntary care setting
