At Joseph Joseph, we love solving everyday problems through intelligent design to create distinctive, functional products that are a pleasure to own and use. We are one of the world’s leading houseware brands with a global presence spanning over 100 countries, available in most major department stores and independent houseware stores worldwide, as well as our rapidly growing ecommerce channel.

We are looking for an experienced Supply Planner to join the Supply Planning Team. As one of our Supply Planners, you will be responsible for creating a robust supply plan and managing the production flow from our Far East supply base, as well as working cross-functionally with the wider business to deliver targets. With the bulk of manufacturing taking place in China, the company distributes through six main warehouses worldwide to retailer customers, distributors, and direct consumers.

What you will be doing:

  • Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers about production and delivery timings, adjusting orders to support sales trends and forecasts.
  • Order placement to factories for regular replenishment, FOB, and new product launches.
  • Order placement for components and consumables.
  • Manage and communicate purchase forecasts to factories.
  • Review out-of-stock situations or supply issues and recommend mitigating actions.
  • Plan container loading with suppliers to ensure effective delivery of stock.
  • Produce supplier and business KPIs for management.
  • Implement and maintain inventory and material management strategies for all finished goods by reviewing weekly purchase order tracking.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for a range of factories, including daily communication, performance tracking, relationship management (including regular phone conferences), and developing ways of working to reduce lead-times.
  • Own KPIs such as supplier performance, product availability, and PO tracking.
  • Support the S&OP process by communicating overstocks and blocked stock at factories that need to be addressed, and by addressing capacity constraints proactively.
  • Deliver excellent product availability in line with the Demand Planner forecast.

What we need from you:

  • Previous experience in a similar operations, supply planning, procurement, or supply chain role.
  • Organised, methodical, with close attention to detail.
  • High numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Results-driven with a commitment to achieving stretch targets.
  • Disciplined in following processes and work systems.
  • Proactive in escalating issues before they become problems.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Desirable: experience with S&OP, ability to speak Chinese Mandarin, experience working with suppliers in the Far East, knowledge of injection moulding and metal forming manufacturing processes, proficiency in standard IT packages, and project management experience.

What you will get from us:

  • Competitive salary and holiday allowance.
  • Company performance-related bonus.
  • Pension contribution.
  • Exclusive staff discount.
  • 24/7 healthcare appointment support.
  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, with flexible start/finish times.
  • External private employee wellbeing support.
  • Access to Perkbox.
  • Volunteer days.
  • Team recognition scheme.
  • Training and development opportunities.
  • Holiday carry-over scheme.
  • Season-ticket travel loan.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Parental leave support.
  • Holiday trading (buy/sell) and extra holiday days for long service.
