We are looking for a talented Art Director to join the brand team. As Art Director, you’ll help shape how our brand looks and feels at a pivotal moment of brand transformation. We’re looking for someone who’s as strong at concept as they are on set. You can lead projects end to end, make confident calls, and bring a premium, contemporary brand to life through visual storytelling that actually lands in the real world.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creative Impact: Own projects from brief to final delivery, aligning on objectives, success metrics and creative direction.
- Push ideas forward: Keep clarity and momentum across stakeholders.
- Decision making: Make confident decisions that balance creative ambition with budget, timelines and performance needs.
- Brand language: Set a high bar for premium and contemporary visual language, from concept through to finish.
- Inspiration and references: Bring strong references, track competitors, and share inspiration that keeps the work sharp and current.
- Storyboards and treatments: Contribute to storyboards, shot lists and creative treatments for video and motion projects.
- Content performance: Understand how content performs across platforms and tailor creative decisions accordingly.
- Digital optimization: Ensure imagery and motion are optimised for digital channels without compromising brand quality.
- Curiosity and experimentation: Stay curious and experimental with tools, techniques and technology, applying them thoughtfully.
- Production and Shoot Direction: Plan, organise and art direct photography and motion shoots with confidence.
- Sourcing and shoots: Source products, props, locations and crew, and lead shoot days smoothly and efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with photographers, stylists, editors, retouchers and CGI partners to achieve cohesive, on-brand results.
- Delivery and risk management: Keep delivery moving with strong planning, clear timelines, and early flagging of risks.
- Asset management: Maintain clean handovers, approvals, version control and asset delivery.
- Asset organization: Uphold best practice in file structures, archiving and digital asset management through our systems.
What we need from you:
- Experience: Proven experience as an Art Director or Senior Creative in a brand, studio or agency environment, ideally across lifestyle, product and campaign work.
- Project leadership: Confident leading shoots and creative projects from concept through to delivery, including post-production.
- Asset review: Comfortable reviewing retouching, layouts and final assets, and making clear art direction calls.
- Collaboration: Experience collaborating with photographers, stylists, retouchers, editors and motion partners using industry-standard workflows.
- Tools and systems: Familiarity with digital production tools, asset management systems and collaborative platforms (SharePoint or similar).
- Video/motion understanding: Working understanding of video and motion workflows, even if you’re not hands-on in edit.
- Tools: Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, especially Photoshop.
- Illustration and layout: Strong working proficiency in InDesign and Illustrator.
- Motion: After Effects understanding.
- Figma/AI tools: Basic understanding of Figma and AI creative tools.
- Photography on set: Capture One (for selecting photography on set).
- Plus: Ability to handle camera and capture motion and stills is a plus.
