Instrumentation Calibration Engineer Salary circa £30- £35,000 +very dependent on experience + Bonus + Pension Monday to Friday role Pontypridd area A very well established and progressive UK wide Instrumentation company currently have a new opportunity within their service department to join it’s successful business. You are likely to be a time served Instrumentation or Calibration Engineer with very strong Electrical Engineering experience and well developed problem-solving skills The Calibration Engineer will primarily undertake calibrations to process instrumentation within industries such as Process, Power, Pharmaceutical and Food & Beverage. Whilst the primary role is calibration, you will ideally demonstrate some flexibility and may need to perform some light mechanical duties or trouble shooting assistance to clients from time to time. The ideal candidate would be familiar with calibration techniques & methods, test equipment, the requirements of ISO9001 and have experience of flow, pressure, temperature, analytical and general measurement & control techniques. Possession of Compex certification, confined space awareness, safety passport or any associated site approvals/qualifications would be a distinct advantage. Electrical Engineering experience is essential and Quality Engineering experience would be beneficial. Able to suggest new ideas / suggest improvements. Have “Can do” attitude work on using own initiative. Experience with Computers software packages. Such as Word, Excel PowerPoint. Experience with Transmille ProCal6 Software not essential but an advantage. Willing to assist / train others. Join a small team of engineers so must be willing to work as part of a team 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays Travel to work from; Blackwood, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Aberdare, Ebbw Vale, Newport
