A rare opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established International Manufacturer based near Ystrad Mynach. This is a Monday to Friday days role with no shifts and an early finish on Fridays.
You will be a very experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a Machine Shop background, possessing a flexible team working hands-on approach in this varied and autonomous role. Any electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
The company is progressive with a strong order book. Responsibilities include:
- All aspects of mechanical maintenance with strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience
- Routine maintenance inspections and planned maintenance
- Leading process improvements and demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills
- Good machine shop background (turning, grinding, milling)
- Jig building and tool sharpening (press tools and turret punch)
Some electrical knowledge and PLC knowledge would be an advantage. You will ideally be apprentice trained with extensive experience of working in an engineering role in a manufacturing organisation.
The Maintenance Engineer will be able to travel to work from Pontypridd, Caerphilly, Blackwood, Cardiff, Merthyr, Pontypool, or Llantrisant.
