An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Manager to join our growing Free Trade team!
This is a field-based role with responsibility for managing and developing relationships across all areas of our Free Trade business, including national and regional wholesalers, national accounts, pub companies, independent free trade customers, and local breweries. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing sales volume, distribution, brand visibility and profitability whilst identifying and securing new business opportunities. You will manage your own territory, build strong customer relationships and act as an ambassador for the Joseph Holt brand.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and develop relationships with existing Free Trade customers across your territory.
- Drive sales volume, distribution and profitability across Joseph Holt own brands and partner products.
- Build strong relationships with both direct and indirect customers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
- Conduct regular customer reviews to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Increase product visibility, distribution and point-of-sale presence within customer outlets.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments including Customer Services, Credit Control and Logistics.
- Represent Joseph Holt at industry events, customer functions and trade activities.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales reporting.
- Previous sales, account management or business development experience, ideally within FMCG, brewing, hospitality or drinks sectors (Preferred but not essential).
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and able to manage a territory independently.
- Organised with excellent planning and time management skills.
- Comfortable analysing sales performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- A positive team player who can build strong internal and external relationships.
- Flexible and results focused.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
