Job Description
A Python Quant Developer (Programmer Software Engineer) is required by our asset management client in London. You MUST have the following:
- Excellent experience as a Python Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
- Strong Python - strong design, architecture and build experience
- An understanding of Fixed Income whether rates or credit markets, ideally including some exposure to credit derivatives (CDO, CLO, ABS, CDS etc)
- Good ability to work and collaborate with Front Office stakeholders such as traders, quants, researchers etc
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- Buy-side - asset management, investment manager, hedge fund
- Bloomberg BQuant exposure
You will work in a team of 5 quantitative developers. This team is dedicated to the Fixed Income quantitative analysts and credit researchers across the company. You will collaborate with the quants to get their models into production. This will largely involve Python and will mean that you acquire an excellent knowledge of Fixed Income products across rates, credit and asset backed securities. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the Front Office, close to the business.
Your Python will be very strong. Exposure to Bloomberg BQuant, R would be beneficial but is not essential.
Hours are 9-5 but can be flexed to allow for school-runs and other commitments. There is flexible working from home.
Salary: £110-135k + 20% Bonus + 10% Pension
