Joseph Hage Aaronson & Bremen LLP is a leading dispute resolution firm based in London.
The firm uniquely integrates the expertise of solicitors and barristers (including leading KCs), to provide comprehensive solutions to complex legal challenges.
We combine the qualities of a traditional law firm with that of a chambers.
Solicitors and barristers work closely from the beginning of every case.
We are the only law firm in the market which specialises in contentious tax.
The tax litigation team is led by the renowned Graham Aaronson KC and has been ranked ‘band 1’ for tax litigation in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners since the firm’s inception.
Our lawyers have experience across all the domestic courts and tribunal system, from the First-tier Tribunal to the Supreme Court.
We have built a strong reputation for work where HMRC have made allegations of fraud or abuse.
In this regard, we have recently had significant successes against HMRC in a complex and high value employment taxes matter, and we are the lead and test case solicitors in the largest VAT Group Litigation that has ever taken place in the Tax Tribunal.
We are pioneers in ‘group litigation’, having been the lead and test-case solicitors in almost all corporation tax Group Litigation Orders (GLOs) (which bring together High Court claims made by more than 50 multinational corporations).
These are ground-breaking claims that challenge various discriminatory elements of UK tax legislation.
These matters have gone to the Supreme Court several times.
