One of our exciting projects are looking for a Senior Engineer to join their team in the heart of London! The successful candidate will need to have the ability to produce, manage and drive Quality on each project as well as the ability and confidence to raise, discuss and resolve engineering issues on site, and with design engineers.
Responsibilities
- Background working on London underground.
- Oversee safe and efficient operation of works, ensuring they are produced to quality standards, to plan and to meet budget with due protection for the public and environment.
- Identify, raise, discuss and resolve engineering issues on site, through liaison with the wider JGL team, the JGL design team and the Client.
- Prepare technical queries for submission to the Designer and Client.
- Prepare risk assessments & method statements (RAMS).
- Supervise health, safety and welfare, ensuring high standards are maintained and that the site works are undertaken in compliance with the RAMS.
- Ensure and enable start of shift briefings to work force and site inductions.
- Manage quality assurance procedures to ensure high standard of works are achieved, including preparation, maintenance, inspection & test plans and ensuring works compliance.
- Manage/coordinate setting out by the Site Engineers.
- Maintain site records for progress against programme, labour, plant, materials, as-built etc and assist with progress reporting, reporting of safety incidences and contract variations.
To be successful in this position the Senior Engineer you must have:
- A Civil Engineering Qualification – Degree level or equivalent.
- Setting out experience.
- Background working on London underground, highways and heavy civil engineering infrastructure projects, covering utilities, deep drainage or waterworks.
