Overview
This post will lead on first aid matters across the college by supporting a team of qualified first aiders. The successful candidate will be part of the college core safeguarding team to caseload referrals and ensure that all students are kept safe. We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic College Nurse to join our Student Services team. The role involves ensuring staff and students receive support and guidance with their medical and mental health needs. The nurse must be caring and compassionate, with excellent administration and communication skills. The role requires working as part of a team to develop the student experience and support all aspects of physical and emotional wellbeing.
About the College
Joseph Chamberlain College is a Sixth Form College established in 1983, offering a wide range of academic courses to around 2600 school leavers and approximately 700 adults. Our curriculum is inclusive with progression routes to success for all students.
Responsibilities
- Lead on first aid matters across the college and support a team of qualified first aiders.
- Be part of the safeguarding team to caseload referrals and ensure student safety.
- Provide clinical nursing support to staff and students, including medical and mental health guidance.
- Collaborate with the Student Services team to develop the student experience and support wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records and administration related to nursing and safeguarding duties.
