Galvanizing Operatives – Joseph Ash, Chesterfield

Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire, Full-time

Monday 8am - 4.30pm

Tuesday - Thursday 8am - 4pm

Friday 7am - 3pm

What You'll Be Doing:

  • You'll be involved in every step of the galvanizing journey - helping to protect steel products used across the UK and beyond.
  • Preparing and securing steel products to jigs for galvanizing
  • Operating overhead cranes (training provided)
  • Dipping steel into molten zinc to protect against corrosion
  • Finishing and inspecting products for top-quality standards
  • Ensuring your work area remains clean, organised, and safe

Whether you're in the jigging area, working at the galvanizing baths, or finishing in the fettling bay, you’ll be part of a crucial process that keeps the UK’s infrastructure strong and rust-free.

What We're Looking For:

  • We’re looking for positive, hands-on team players who aren’t afraid of a bit of heavy lifting and who enjoy getting stuck in.
  • A strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude
  • Willingness to work in a manual, physical environment
