Joseph Ash Galvanizing Widnes are currently looking for Galvanizing Operatives. Working within our galvanizing plant on the full process systems from initial jigging of product through to galvanizing baths and final finishing in the fettling bay. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to join a company with amazing opportunities to grow and progress yourself both professionally and personally.

Your day to day:

  • General handling of steel products.
  • Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
  • Operation of overhead crane equipment.
  • Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting.
  • Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Positive people with a can-do attitude.
  • Someone who enjoys working in a manual environment where heavy lifting is part of the daily activities.
  • Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or galvanizing environment would be desirable but is not essential.
