Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer, with a working understanding of PLC's, cranes and heavy machinery? Then this could be the role for you. Joseph Ash Galvanizing Telford are currently looking for an experienced electrical biased / multi-skilled maintenance engineer to drive the site forward to world class maintenance status.
Candidates need to have a passion for ensuring safety and quality of systems are maintained throughout the site. Maintaining all the on-site systems and machinery requires experience with both mechanical and electrical engineering. The candidate must have sound knowledge and experience in electrical installation, including motors and inverter drives and have a passion for troubleshooting. Working at heights is a key requirement hence successful candidates should be comfortable operating a MEWP. The ability to work as part of a team together with an excellent attitude towards Health & Safety are pre-requisites of this role. The candidate must be able to lead, oversee and actively complete site maintenance day to day activities.
Main Responsibilities- Completion of planned preventative maintenance routines associated with all plant and equipment to include mechanical and electrical repair and refurbishment.
- Develop and manage maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ensure statutory compliance with relevant regulations, including LOLER.
- Assist in development and implementation of preventive maintenance routines.
- Proactive development of operational processes and equipment to enhance the efficiency of the operation.
- Inspection and testing of equipment to ensure safe operation of the plant.
- Supervision of visitors/contractors as required.
- Supporting the business and production team as required.
- Provide out of hour cover when required.
- Highly skilled and experienced in electrical and mechanical engineering with a recognised electrical qualification.
- Experience of and working with planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience of complex electrical fault finding.
- Experience of PLC systems (basic), motors, drives and electrical drawings.
