Joseph Ash Chesterfield is looking to recruit a Sales Co-ordinator to support the Commercial Manager. The role involves coordinating customer orders and ensuring smooth communication between internal departments and clients. The primary responsibility will be to ensure customer satisfaction, assist with the sales process, and help drive business growth to achieve or exceed budget targets.
- Sales Activity
- Making telephone sales calls to both “cold” and “warm” prospective customers.
- Seeking out new business leads using various means including existing database, internet & social media.
- Making customer service calls to manage queries on orders and difficulties.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Maintaining positive relationships with new and existing clients.
- Following up on client enquiries, providing timely updates on order status, pricing, and deliveries.
- Communicating effectively with customers to resolve issues and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Maintaining and updating records in the Customer management system, following up quotations.
- Sales Support & Coordination
- Coordinating order processing, working closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of orders.
- Preparing and sending quotes to clients.
- Assisting the Commercial Manager in managing customer accounts and tracking orders.
- Compiling and maintaining sales documentation, including contracts, invoices, and communications.
- Sales Reporting
- Assisting in generating sales reports, tracking KPIs, and analysing sales performance.
- Supporting the Commercial Manager with market research, customer feedback, and competitor analysis.
- Tracking and reporting sales data, updating customer records in the CRM system.
- Process Improvement
- Identifying and suggesting improvements to enhance the sales coordination and customer service process.
- Assisting in developing new sales strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Person Specification
- Experience in a sales role, customer service or administrative roles, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Confident in meeting customers on phone and face to face.
- Passionate and self-motivated about driving sales forward with the ability to work under pressure.
- Customer focused and able to provide high levels of customer service with great communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities with good mathematical skills including a clear understanding of sizes and dimensions.
- Good listener, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organised with good time management skills & ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Good levels of ability in Microsoft Word and Excel, Teams etc.
- Ability to work accurately and systematically.
Salary up to £30,000 plus bonus of up to 9% annual salary. 25 days holiday plus annual leave.
