An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in the heart of Canary Wharf has arisen! Joselyn Search are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to work as part of an engineering team and be based at a large multi-tenanted commercial office building in Canary Wharf. The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out planned and reactive building maintenance within a large commercial building environment, have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance with a proven track record in commercial building services. This position would be ideal for a Mechanical Shift Engineer currently in a similar position, in return the company are offering a competitive salary up to £50,000 with a potential route into further career progression.
Key duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of mechanical maintenance activities across mechanical plant and systems
- Hands-on PPM and reactive maintenance
- Commercial heating systems
- AHUs, FCUs, and associated HVAC equipment.
- Carry out system fault-finding and diagnostics
- Liaise directly with the client's estates teams to ensure maintenance activities are aligned
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
- Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
- Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
- Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
- Monitor the BMS systems
- Supervise contractors and assist with minor project works or installations
- Maintain clear documentation, logbooks, and records
