Joselyn Search are currently recruiting for an Area Maintenance Manager to be responsible for a regional engineering team across multiple sites spanning the M4 Corridor. The successful Manager will have good access to all the M4 Corridor and be happy to travel to multiple sites across the region. This position would be ideal for an existing Area Engineering or Maintenance Manager who has experience with compliance, managing engineering teams from multiple disciplines, optimising operational performance and maintaining strong client relationships. Equally, the client will consider a strong engineer who is looking to make the step up.
The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to enhance operational efficiency and reliability across the contract. In return, the company are offering a competitive salary of £45,000 + £5000 Car Allowance and an excellent package.
Hours of Work & Package Info
- Basic Salary of up to £45,000
- Car Allowance - £5000 per annum
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Key duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist in the management of all maintenance staff on the contract
- Supervise and mentor engineering teams within your designated region
- Interview/recruit, train, and develop engineering staff to enhance skill levels and performance
- Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and collaboration
- Drive engineering productivity and efficiencies for your allocated engineers
- Conduct performance reviews with Regional Account Managers to set objectives, and provide training and development opportunities
- Manage/supervise/monitor capital projects within the area as required
- Support costing from engineers and subcontractors, working with the Project Manager for capital projects
- Analyse current engineering processes and look for any improvements
- Monitor, train and support engineers to ensure adherence to KPIs and SLAs
- Ensure full adherence is met to Health and Safety regulations and standards
- Carry out regular audits and site visits to identify areas for improvement
- Attend site meetings within your designated region
- Liaise with subcontractors
- Track and analyse service performance using KPIs and reporting tools
- Use data provided to drive best performance and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Electrically or Mechanically qualified - City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2&3
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance working as a regional supervisor or manager
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams across multiple locations
