Role Responsibilities:

  • Must be available on a 24 x 7 basis for emergencies.
  • Manage the team that will carry out moves, adds, and changes (MAC) which includes obtaining requirements from IT silos on MAC work (such as power, space, physical connectivity, etc.), centralize all installation requests.
  • Provide a wide range of services from handling deliveries, assigning rack locations, taking the lead to review with power, cooling and cabling on installation, carry out network/fiber patching, physical rack/stack equipment, inventory management (labels, bar-codes), configure management console or iLo ports, rack diagram updates.
  • Provide construction oversight and project management for EDC as needed.
  • Provide operational review of engineering, testing, and commissioning documentation to ensure a smooth transition to the operations team.
  • Oversee/manage the Facilities Management team in the operation and fit out of the Facility and MEP infrastructure supporting the data center.
  • Obtain and collect all data necessary for management/operation reporting, including capacity management, forecasts, vendor coordination, patching, tape management and available resources.
  • Co-ordinate with IT Business Management to update Asset records.
  • Data Center Power-down & Annual Maintenance Management.
  • Coordination with different vendors and all IT silos for power down or scheduled maintenance events.

Qualifications External

Skills Required:

  • Minimum ten (10) years professional experience or a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience in all aspects of IT/Cabling/Networks/MEP/Engineering project management (comm. Rooms, data centers, trading floors, MEP and technology spaces).
  • Data center construction and commissioning.
  • Data center operational risk analysis.
  • Excellent performance record in managing contractors (either internal or external).
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the finance industry and a Corporate environment is helpful.

Skills Desired:

  • Financial company operational background is a plus.
  • Good understanding of data center M&E infrastructure and its resiliency design (UPS, Generator, CRAC, cabling, containment routes, etc) is a plus.
  • Data Center Commissioning and Preventative Maintenance.
