We are currently seeking reliable and professional Casual Exam Invigilators to support the smooth running of internal and external examinations during the 2026 exam period. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are organised, attentive to detail and interested in supporting young people within an educational environment.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Assisting with the set-up of examination venues, including laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers
- Supporting candidates prior to the start of examinations
- Ensuring examination regulations are followed at all times
- Invigilating during examinations and responding to candidate queries
- Dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with procedures
- Checking attendance and recording details of late arrivals
- Escorting candidates during examinations when required
- Supervising candidates outside examination venues
- Collecting and collating examination scripts at the end of sessions
- Assisting with the preparation of script envelopes
- Supervising the orderly exit of candidates from venues
- Assisting with packing and transporting examination materials
- Supporting the preparation of seating plans
Qualifications & Experience
- Access to an email account to receive invigilation schedules
- A positive interest in supporting young people and education
- Flexibility and reliability
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills
- A firm but fair approach
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Physical fitness appropriate to the role (bulk exam materials may be heavy and the role involves walking between venues)
