Working on behalf of a local authority, we are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor. Initially for 6 months with potential for extensions. Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday paying £23.59 per hour PAYE; which is equivalent to £45,387 salary or £30.93 per hour through an umbrella. Work based in Bromsgrove and Redditch areas.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Building Surveyor to join our Property Services Team. This is a key role supporting the effective management and maintenance of a varied portfolio of Council-owned assets, including:
- Operational service buildings
- Commercial shops and industrial units
- Leisure Trust facilities
- Historic and heritage buildings
You will play a vital part in ensuring these properties are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services to our communities.
We are seeking someone with:
- Demonstrable experience managing a range of property types, including commercial, industrial, leisure, and historic buildings
- Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance, refurbishment, and construction practices
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- A relevant qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to public service values
- Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience in relevant field
- Experience of using AutoCAD and producing DWG drawings
- People management experience
