Hey there! Are you passionate about a career in manufacturing and want to support the Shift Manager to lead a team of Multi Skilled Operatives? We are on the lookout for a Team Leader to join our friendly, dynamic team at Jordan’s Dorset Ryvita. As part of the ABF group, we have ambitious plans for growth over the next 5 years and we need someone with the drive and passion to help us get there. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who shows leadership, promotes a high standard of both personal safety and food safety whilst ensuring the maximum utilisation of labour hours.
The shift pattern for this role is worked as follows: 3 shift rotating pattern – Earlies, Nights, Lates.
Earlies: Mon-Thu 6am-2pm, Fri 6am-1pm; Nights: Mon-Thu 10pm-6am, Fri 7pm-2am; Lates: Mon-Thu 2pm-10pm, Fri 12pm-7pm.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Bakery and associated equipment by ensuring all Health, Safety, Environmental and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
- To report unsafe acts or unsafe conditions, where encountered, without delay.
- To manage the bakery team effectively through development plans, return to work interviews and performance conversations.
- Employee engagement – Drive employee engagement through coaching and development.
- Support others in their learning experiences by sharing your knowledge and experience. Develop a multi skilled workforce.
- Be the operational point of contact for the bakery with other internal departments such as QA, Mill, Warehouse, Engineers and Hygiene.
- Responsible for the materials coming in and finished goods leaving the Bakery.
- Oversee the coordination of cleaning and maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Liaise with the Planning department to achieve the Production schedule.
- Proactive involvement in improvement projects within the Bakery.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
