We are on the lookout for a Financial Accountant to join our central finance team at Jordans Cereals.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will oversee the compliance for financial reporting and legal regulations. This role is critical in upholding regulatory control, and therefore you will need to demonstrate both gravitas and ambition to be able to work within a demanding and fast-moving business with regular exposure to senior management.

Helping prepare all aspects of our financial reporting, including managing the internal financial reporting, consolidating legal entities, submitting Group reporting to the parent company and building overseas Branch financials

Working with internal and external business partners to ensure we are reporting in line with GAAP & our Financial Control Framework

Working closely with our inter-company shared service centre to ensure a good service across the areas they support

Management of Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Key Controls, ensuring these are performed periodically, updating control accounts in a timely manner

Assistance with internal and external audit

Providing financial information to management by compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans and financial statements

Working with the Financial Controller to improve the organisation’s documentation of policies and procedures to enhance the quality of financial reporting

Working on process improvements to aid efficiency and provide insight

Supporting on all aspects of Treasury – hedging FX risk and managing bank accounts

Provide coaching and training to junior team members and suggest appropriate training for compliance and reporting across Jordans Cereals
