Overview of the Role: This is a hands‑on, stores‑based role at the heart of our operation. As Stores Coordinator, you’ll manage the day‑to‑day control of materials within the warehouse, ensuring all goods are received, checked, stored, and issued safely and efficiently. You’ll oversee the movement of packaging and ingredients, keep accurate stock information updated in D365, and make sure materials reach the manufacturing lines on time to support uninterrupted production. From unloading deliveries to maintaining an organised stores environment, you’ll play a key part in keeping the bakery running smoothly.

Key Accountabilities

  • Safety & Compliance: Champion a zero‑incident culture through proactive behaviour, weekly safety tours, and participation in Safety Committee meetings. Ensure all safety procedures, GMP standards, and company guidelines are consistently followed within the stores environment. Safely oversee unloading, handling, and storage of all inbound goods.
  • Stores Operation & Stock Control: Manage the accurate receipt, storage, issuing, and movement of materials to keep production running smoothly. Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate stock records within D365, including leading and validating stock‑takes. Respond proactively to operational challenges such as late deliveries or plan changes, ensuring minimal disruption. Report issues relating to delivery quality in a timely manner.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead by example, creating a positive, accountable, and high‑performing stores team. Plan and organise team cover to meet operational requirements. Deliver regular team briefs and ensure communication is clear, factual, and timely. Recognise great performance while constructively addressing under‑performance in line with company policy. Support development through clear objectives, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Collaboration & Customer Focus: Build strong working relationships with production, planning, quality, and wider site stakeholders. Ensure customer complaints relating to stores or material flow are resolved within 48 hours. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Efficiency, Cleanliness & Improvement: Maintain a clean, organised, and audit‑ready stores environment through regular inspections. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce operational costs, and enhance stores performance. Encourage team ideas for continuous improvement and deliver at least three tangible initiatives annually.

The Right Person: We’re looking for a reliable, organised Stores Coordinator who enjoys working in a busy warehouse environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards. You’ll be confident working with computer systems (including Word and Excel), and experience with D365 is a strong advantage. An FLT Reach/Counterbalance licence, IOSH training, and experience leading small teams are all beneficial. You’ll be someone who champions safety, communicates clearly, and keeps the stores running efficiently. You’ll set the tone for the team — leading by example, challenging constructively, and always aiming to improve how things are done. Most importantly, you’ll live our Speedibake values and support the operation every day. If you want to play a key role in a fast‑moving, market‑leading bakery, we’d love to hear from you.
