Overview Of Role
Step into a role where your insights shape the future of the business. As our Senior FP&A Analyst, you’ll be the driving force behind our forecasts, budgets and commercial performance story — partnering with senior leaders and Commercial teams to bring clarity, challenge and confidence to every decision.
Key Accountabilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Consolidate forecasts and budgets, working closely with finance leads and business partners. Aggregate and analyse period results to assess performance, both period and year-to-date. Prepare insightful commentary for group reporting. Provide financial insights to the Finance Director and JDR Board. Lead the consolidation of board reporting, covering financial and non-financial metrics. Own consolidation total business working capital forecasting, engaging with key stakeholders to optimise working capital forecast and identify areas for improvement.
- Commercial Finance: Support Commercial Finance activities as and when required, ranging from decision support, controls and governance through to reporting.
- Other: Adhere to all JDR/ABF controls/procedures to ensure financial integrity across the business. Financial controls - Period end and YTD reconciliations; audit schedules; capex submissions; stocktaking support. Responsible for adhering to safe systems of work processes and acting in a safe manner to always protect the health and safety of yourself and others. Ad-hoc duties as required.
The Right Person
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
- Proven experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or financial business partnering. Ideally within an FMCG environment.
- Excellent financial modelling capability and advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with planning systems or BI tools is highly advantageous.
- A proactive mindset with a high degree of ownership being able to drive improvements, challenge constructively, and seek opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy and reporting quality.
- Ability to build effective relationships across finance and the wider business, influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Strong communication skills, capable of preparing clear, concise financial commentary and presenting complex information in a simple, insightful way.
- High attention to detail balanced with the ability to understand the broader business context.
- Experience in working capital management or cash forecasting is desirable.
- Strong adherence to financial controls, governance, and process discipline.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy.
