We’re looking for a Machine Minder to join our friendly and ambitious team. As part of the ABF group, we have big plans for the next five years, you’ll play a key role in shaping our future. The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to be responsible for the set up and running of packing machinery producing high quality packs of finished products. The Machine Minder working pattern would require full flexibility across the week as it is worked on a 4 on 4 rotation. For example, one week you would work Monday to Thursday, then the following week would be Tuesday to Friday. This will be day shift only, working 6am to 6pm.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead boldly – take ownership and minimise downtime on the line ensuring all machines are running at the correct speeds.
- Stay curious – Proactively engage in training, proactively seek training and support to develop and improve skills level, with accurate recording of information relating to quality of product or its constituent parts including pre-start checks and quality index.
- Do the right thing together – Be aware of Safe Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Working whilst operating machinery and equipment, provide a safe working environment for self and others and manage own work area, keeping it hygienic and tidy including the correct storage of machine parts and tools.
- Make it happen – Minimise downtime on the line ensuring all machines are running at the correct speeds.
