Overview Of Role

Are you looking for a new opportunity, making a real difference keeping our manufacturing sites running as part of our stock ordering and management Team? The Inventory Controller – CI, will be responsible for maintaining effective inventory control processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance visibility, efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making across the supply chain, through Power BI.

This role is designed to be split between:

  • Inventory Control
  • Continuous Improvement, Automation & Power BI Development

The successful candidate will manage inventory-related activities whilst identifying opportunities to simplify processes, automate reporting, improve data quality, and implement Power BI solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making. Prior experience with Power BI is not essential; however, the candidate must demonstrate an inquisitive nature with a willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to develop and implement reporting solutions through self-training and practical application.

Key Accountabilities

  • Order packaging and Ingredients in accordance to MRP settings
  • Maintain MRP Settings within Item Site Maintenance on MFG and Excel Packaging MRPS
  • Communicate swiftly and effectively with the Production Team any supply risks
  • Maintain targeted stock levels and safety stock levels at all times

Continuous Improvement

  • Learn and develop Power BI skills
  • Start with the key identified processes to implement automation and reporting, then adding to this new processes identified
  • Liaise with Planning, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Finance and Customer Supply teams
  • Support material availability and inventory optimisation activities

Top Priorities

  • Improve Inventory Visibility with a suite of reporting and Dashboards
  • Reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets by introducing automated reporting and dashboard solutions
  • Explore Power BI capabilities

The Right Person

We're looking for somebody who can apply a logical and pragmatic approach to data, with the ability to make informed individual decisions in line with planning guidelines. You will need to be able to confidently communicate across different departments, and engage with key stakeholders, to ensure informed decisions are made at pace.
