Jordan & Faber Ltd are a Main Contractor based in Sturminster Newton specialising in refurbishment contracts on military sites across Salisbury Plain. Due to continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our team with the appointment of an additional Design Manager to help manage our Design & Build contracts.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in design management within the construction industry, with experience across both building fabric and M&E services. The role will primarily involve managing and coordinating design information produced by subcontractors and consultants from pre‑construction and tender stages through to delivery, handover and completion. The successful candidate will not generally be undertaking full detailed design in-house, but will be expected to provide design input on smaller elements where these fall between subcontractor and consultant design packages.

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience in design management, technical management or a similar construction‑related role
  • Strong understanding of the construction process from pre‑construction through to delivery and handover
  • Experience of refurbishment projects and Design & Build contracts
  • Good knowledge of M&E services and building fabric
  • Ability to review and coordinate drawings, specifications and technical information
  • Competent with AutoCAD
  • Professional qualification in Building Engineering, Construction or a related discipline
  • Ability to work on military sites and comply with site security requirements

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Main Contractor working on varied refurbishment projects across Salisbury Plain.

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
